DATES OF STATIONS
In addition to noting the dates and times when these planets enter (and re-enter) Pisces, this list gives details of when each planet is stationary, as it appears to turn direction. The ‘station’ dates mentioned below do not pin-point likely times for events, but can be seen as markers in a process that unfolds through time. In each case, the week or so before the date listed will be characterised by an intensification of the energy of the particular planet, and perhaps a precipitation of events relevant to what is happening in our life situations. Around the exact date, there is sometimes the feeling of a ‘plateau’ where intensity subsides, and clarity sometimes arises.
All planetary stations are therefore auspicious times for meditation and contemplation ... on the qualities and themes of the planets themselves, or on the life situations which they accompany. Use this list to help you navigate, to plan suitable activities, and to help you catch the waves and stay on the surf-board!
- R means the planet begins appearing to move in reverse
- D means it is resuming forward motion
The period of Retrograde motion (R) is one where the inner dimensions are favoured, when it is wise to soft-pedal, prepare watch and wait. Momentum drops, reflection is supported. These are also times when the consequences of past actions come to either help or hinder one’s progress, internally and externally, and there is an opportunity for working things through, finishing unfinished business, completing tasks, integrating changes, pausing to reflect and allow consolidation of results.
By contrast, the periods of Direct motion (D) can usually be felt as auspicious for moving ahead, when decisions clarify and The Way opens as the themes of our life unfold. This 'directness' may be experienced at the level of insight as well as action, as it is a movement of energy. Momentum resumes, supported by this shift, and our period of preparation bears fruit.
With Chiron and Neptune in Pisces, however, it is useful to note where situations lean into chaos during their periods of Direct motion. At these times, we are put on notice not to strain to try and sort things out with an act of will, but to let go and return to our inner centre. With the watery oceanic quality of Pisces, we may need to wait for the invisible wave of feeling and ride it rather than 'forcing the issue', while listening carefully for guidance and cultivating trust. This applies to external situations as well as to internal intentions and personal relationships.

A useful 'tag-line' for Nessus is 'The Buck Stops Here'! It's cycle is 124 years long, which tells us that it signifies processes longer than our own lives. We may be relieved of ancient burdens we didn't even know we were carrying, from the ancestral, 'past life' or other dimensions. It may or may not be necessary to know the details, especially with Nessus in Pisces, as the deeper unravelling, unwinding, dissolving and melting occurs most powerfully on the feeling level, deep in the soul, sometimes beyond 'e-motions'. Something ends, is done, finished.

Interestingly, the Centaur PHOLUS was in Pisces along with Chiron during the 1960s and 1970s. With Nessus now transiting late Aquarius and soon to enter Pisces, there may be many reminders of that period of time. Expect to get a new perspective on your memories, understand differently, see anew with freeing compassion. Poignantly, the infamous Tate-LaBianca murders took place in early August 1969, with Pholus about to enter Pisces. The trial of Charles Manson and 'The Family' took place 1970-71, while Pholus was going between Aquarius and Pisces. Those events are sometimes said to have been 'the end of the Flower Power era'. What echoes might be discerned as Nessus makes that crossing in 2014-15?
